The tools and devices we use today had their origins in the
experimentation humans did since 2 million BC. Harnessing fire was a good start
and it led to extracting metal from rocks. See my 2/28/18 post on Prehistoric
Inventions, Inventions 1100 to 1900 and Modern Inventions.
The inventors of the late 1800s built on the work of
inventors who continued to experiment and record their ideas from the 1100s
forward.
The telephone, the automobile, electricity, radio,
television, movies, water distribution and sewer systems, refrigerators,
washing machines, air conditioning, gas heat, stoves, microwaves, lawn mowers,
chain saws, computers and more were developed and we have these to use every
day. Our appliances continue to evolve and prices go down as sales volumes
rise. These devices will continue to develop based on demand.
