Acosta Resigns as Labor Secretary

Alex Acosta finds himself under attack by the media for making a plea deal as a Prosecutor 12 years ago. He was attacked by the media and the Democrats, because he was a Cabinet Member in the Trump Administration. Acosta has a great Trump economy and is on a roll, so our Bolshevik Democrats were eager to make him a casualty. The Trump Administration is aware that the Democrats are the snipers and they might be bludgeoned for any real or made-up mistakes the Democrats can find for a media attack.

One wonders if the past mistakes of lawyers will finally be brought home to roost. It looks like the Mueller Team might find themselves in jail for deceiving the FISA court to get access to spy on the Trump Campaign. The Deep State is full of Liberal lawyers and our government is “over-utilized” in lawyers.

Jeffrey Epstein’s case triggered a media investigation back 12 years to the lawyer who made a plea deal that resulted in what amounted to time served plus probation. The lawyer was Alex Acosta who was serving as Labor Secretary in the Trump Administration.

The media attacked Acosta for being a bad Federal Prosecutor and would have kept up the attack for years. Acosta chose to resign to end the drama.

Acosta’s reason was that Epstein’s victims were reluctant to press charges and appear in court, so he went for a plea deal. So, was Acosta a “bad Lawyer” for taking a plea deal?

He may have been better off to put this sordid mess in the hands of a jury and losing. The media coverage would have had its effect on reducing this kind of activity. But Prosecutors don’t like to go forward on a losing case. At a minimum, Epstein could have been convicted of statutory rape if even one victim with DNA and a birth certificate would testify.

Epstein was accused of being a pedophile and child rapist. One of the rape victims admitted that she didn’t report the rape for 12 years. She was paid $300 for showing up at Epstein’s house to give him “massages” when she was 14 years old. So you have to ask if she was a “sex worker”.

Sex Workers and Prostitutes have made accusations of Rape. This should make their customers cautious. Men can easily find themselves in court for soliciting and rape. Wealthy men can find themselves being extorted. The bar is low on rape accusations. The Kavanaugh Hearing proved that.

Statutory Rape is clear that any man 18 years or older who has sex with any female under 18 is subject to prosecution. If rape is proved, the man will be convicted. This is true of consensual sex between boyfriend and girlfriend. In States where the legal marriage age is younger than 18, the couple is safe from prosecution.
