Abrams in the Cross-hairs

AJC 10/27/18, page A1 article “For minority gun owners, governor’s race tough call” is a warning to Democrat voters.

The Democrat platform on Gun Control doesn’t help Stacy Abrams’ chances to win votes. The Georgia legislature would ignore her to death. The legislature will defend hunters and gun owners’ rights under the 2nd Amendment. Her traditional Black constituents want to be able to deter criminals and many of these families and individuals own guns. Criminals ignore gun control laws and will get their guns on the black market. Gun control laws will restrict non-criminals from protecting themselves.

She also has a weak case on Obamacare. We’ve been there and it’s a bad deal. We need the old Major Medical plans that require “medical necessity” and “lifetime maximums” to replace Obamacare’s “bundled” blunder with something more affordable. Insurance costs must be based on “risk”.

Like all Liberal Democrats, she can identify problems, but her conclusions and solutions will make the problems worse. Their solutions are to create ever-bigger bureaucracies that will obstruct effective solutions. Democrat legislation creates “unintended consequences”, but no consequences are ever unintended. Their goal is to establish a one-party Socialist Republic and remove voters from all policy decisions.

Georgia needs the State government and legislature to repeal obstructions, expand the private sector and shrink the public sector through privatization and Constitutional compliance. The reason the costs of healthcare and education are unsustainable is excessive government subsidies. Providers won’t even begin to cut their costs until government announces a subsidy reduction plan.
