Automate Government

The US Border Wall will allow the US Border Patrol to reduce costs and create an impenetrable border. Sensors, cameras, infrared, motion detection and drones will alert Agents to attempts to cross the border and ensure effective intervention. Agents will know the nature of the incursion and be able to respond accordingly. They will know the size of the group, what they are carrying and where they are headed.

Mexican Agents can be alerted to respond to incursion attempts on their side of the wall and respond appropriately based on the data.

The alert systems will need to be impervious to sabotage. Additional assets like helicopters will be needed and all military equipment should be available if needed.

Automation is needed in all other parts of government. Cyber Security is imperative to protect critical data from being breeched.

Government needs to make databases secure but accessible to multiple users in multiple departments, agencies and programs. All large corporations use Enterprise-Wide computer systems that are accessible to employees who need them.

Government needs to manage processes to eliminate unnecessary and broken processes using Lean Management techniques used by US business. This involves the formation and training of Cross-Functional Teams and the establishment of Process Owners. US business uses Lean Management techniques to eliminate costs and fix broken systems.

Government needs to replace outdated equipment and systems and automate everything they can. There is too much duplication based on vested interests in the bureaucracy that increases costs and produces waste. Arcane bureaucratic processes need to be replaced by seamless business systems.

Government needs the best computer and business systems experts available to re-engineer all government businesses processes. Congress needs more business systems savvy Legislators.
