The US Labor Force Participation Rate measures how many Working Age US Citizens form age 16 to age 65 are employed in each month. In 2018, this remained between 62.7 and 63. The Rate increased in October 2018 from 62.7 to 62.9.

2018
January 62.7
February 63
March 62.9
April 62.8
May 62.7
June 62.9
July 62.9
August 62.7
September 62.7
October 62.9

Despite the fact that the US added 4,304,000 jobs since January 2017, the Labor Participation Rate did not advance beyond 63. I believe too many of these jobs continue to go to immigrants.

If we can limit immigration, I believe we will see the US Labor Participation Rate rise. Companies are planning to add or return manufacturing and other operations. Jobs will become available after these facilities become operational. I expect to see US jobs normalize in 2019 and 2020. This should return more middle class jobs and return minimum wage jobs back to US high school and college students.
