In 1999, Incidents of religiously motivated violence, including against Christians, are reported in India, though the extent of these attacks is debated and difficult to quantify. These incidents can include the destruction of religious property, attacks on Christian individuals, and, in some cases, violence against priests and missionaries. For example, the murder of Australian missionary Graham Staines and his sons in 1999 by Hindu fundamentalists is a well-documented case.

Key facts about religious violence in India

Comments

This 1999 incident suggests that the Hindu Fundamentalist movement was active in this case. This is a “Radical Movement” that needs to be held in check. India has evolved to potentially become a major player in the global economy and needs to continue to develop without “Extremist Impediments”.
