Trump Doctrine 8-27-25

Trump’s reset for the Global Economy resonates with many other countries. Trump wants all countries to do well and put their citizens first. His remedy for these countries is to lead them to reconciling their differences and focus on economic growth for their citizens. Trump encourages all countries to become free from corruption in order to be successful. 

The quote "With malice toward none, with charity for all" is from Abraham Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address, delivered in 1865. It reflects Lincoln's desire for national reconciliation and healing after the Civil War. The full quote, including the context, is: "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds...". 

Trump is encouraging all countries to “bind up their wounds”. He is also encouraging all countries to attend to the needs of their populations and enlist all of their citizens to pursue a common vision that will result in prosperity. If the leaders of these countries include their citizens in the planning, they will succeed.

Trump has made a career out of completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget and delivering excellent results by using common sense. He shares his insights and creates a common vision. He shares the credit for his successes with all who contributed to the successes.

Trump is quick to criticize failure and corruption and is accurate in his assessments. He understands history and economic trends and has the instincts to intervene. He understands Human Nature and the incentives required to enlist others. He believes that all negotiated deals should benefit both parties.

Trump learns from setbacks and modifies his plans accordingly. He doesn’t give up.

Trump views war as wasteful and is proving that war can be replaced by total economic isolation of “bad Actors”. Putin understands that Trump could destroy the Russian Economy by imposing High Tariffs on countries that buy Russian Oil and Natural Gas. Trump would prefer that Russia end its war in Ukraine and spare Russian Citizens from further economic decline. Putin knows that Trump will impose these Tariffs, if Russia continues the war. Trump will use the same strategy with Iran. 

Trump would define “pursuit of happiness”as the freedom of individuals to determine their own destiny. He understands that some will encounter failures, but encourages them to take responsibility, learn from their failures and recover.

Trump recognized that Europe would “step up” as its Leaders focused on the dangers imposed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Trump will impose Tariffs on countries that buy Oil and Gas from Russia and increase Ukraine’s ability to make surgical strikes inside Russia to convince Putin to make a Deal and end the War.

Trump wants to end US Military Foreign Aid, modernize the US Government and grow the US Economy to pay down the US National Debt.
